About the team

There is an IT development centre in Brno which is responsible for the development of freelance.cz, freelance.de and freelance international as well as berater.de. In our team you will find FE and BE developers (java, angular, PHP) UX designer, IT admin and tester. Despite this, the IT admin falls under the German structure, which is headed by the CTO and has a senior sys admin as team leader, from whom he takes over the tasks and with whom he works in tandem.

About the mission:

An IT administrator's role encompasses managing and maintaining network and system infrastructure, which includes tasks like firewall, DNS, and VPN configurations, as well as monitoring and upgrading virtual and physical hardware. He ensures system security and functionality through regular updates, and handles user support by managing access, onboarding/offboarding processes, and workplace setups. Additionally, IT admin oversees asset and inventory management, diagnoses and fixes network issues, and continuously works on optimizing system performance and security across various platforms.

Technical skills in your mission: Windows & Linux Support, DNS, VPN, Suricata, PfBlockerNG, PfSense, Captive portal

Services running on VMs: MySQL, Java, PHP, Nginx, Docker, Gitlab, CI Debian, Solr

Requirements:

Completed studies in computer science, completed vocational training in the IT sector or a comparable qualification
