Popis úkolů a požadavky

For our longterm client we are looking for a very experienced Linux Engineer who can support the internal team with backup solutions.
Preferred are engineers who are open for a longerterm commitment as a permanent employee.

Tasks:
• Responsibile for the planning, implementation and management of backup solutions on Linux systems
• Regular backup and recovery tests for data integrity and security
• Analyze and troubleshoot backup issues and work closely with other IT teams to continuously optimize backup strategies and processes
• Creating, maintaining documentation and guidance as well as conceptualizing and designing backup and restore scenarios for business critical platform services
• Technical solutions for the implementation and optimization of these scenarios

Skills:
• Longterm experience in Linux operating systems
• Several years of experience in implementing backup and restore processes
• Experience in managing backup technologies and processes in large, production environments
• Affinity for cloud native technologies, as well as for the topic of backup in the context of container technologies and Kubernetes
• The ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop efficient solutions

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 3 months (+ extension into permanent solution)
• Utilization: 5 days per week
• Location: Remote
• Language: English, German nice to have
