Popis úkolů a požadavky

Project Overview: This project involves conducting a comprehensive Functional Safety assessment according to ISO26262 of Electrical and Electronic (E/E) items or elements within automotive systems, specifically targeting High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms and the functions executed on these platforms. The assessment will evaluate hardware, system, and software components, ensuring they meet rigorous automotive safety standards and align with industry best practices for safe and reliable operation in complex automotive environments.

- Location: Remote (100%) with occasional travel to workshop
- Language Required: English / German would be a plus.
- Length of the contract: Initially 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
- Availability: 40 hours/week
- Start date: Jan 2025.

Tasks

- Conducting an assessment according to ISO 26262 to evaluate the functional safety status of an Electrical and Electronic (E/E) item or element.
- Documenting and communicating the findings from the assessment, and generating a comprehensive report that provides an overview of the status.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in ISO 26262 standards and their application to different components within an E/E Architecture.
- Experience in Functional Safety for system, hardware, and software levels within the automotive industry.
- Knowledge in Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) for identifying and documenting risks.
- Proficiency in creating and managing requirements, as well as efficiently tracking them.
- Hands-on experience in functional safety assessments and audits according to ISO 26262, especially in all relevant development phases.
- Understanding the latest developments in safety-critical systems technology is beneficial, as many modern safety features rely on E/E Architecture components.
- Knowledge of UNECE Regulation No. 13 and 157 would be a plus.
